Epilogue
In this time of great division, we need to fully embrace our venerable Italian heritage and pass on those intrinsic values that dwelled deep within the hearts of our ancestors. Our heritage must remain a tribute to those who sacrificed so much while we have given back so little.
The open arms and voices of our ancestors still cry out to restore every heart that has been broken by the passage of time. Like those who came before us, our future belongs to those who cherish the freedoms they came here to protect and preserve for all time.
Beneath our inviolable ground lies the strength, truth, and wisdom of America’s destiny and the preservation of our species. We face a corridor of self-destruction set on destroying the sacred foundation upon which we now stand. There is no dispute about one’s place in the universe at a round table because when God punishes a land, he deprives its leaders of wisdom, worthiness, and integrity. We must open our arms to live for the broken, the rust-covered, and abolish the weeds that cover abandoned doors that will lead them to God.
Behind each of their successes, lies a story of incredibly hard work, distrust, predijuce, resentment, loneliness, and homesickness. For one to leave his homeland, friends, family, and traditions, to go to a foreign land, in which his language is not spoken takes enormous courage. There is no denying the bountiful opportunities that existed on those distant shores. It was a new country that became their new home and final resting place.
A tree struck down may whither and die, but from the seeds planted long ago on American soil, their roots have remained strong and will continue to seek the water that rises from the well of prejudice and injustice.
Find your tree and plant it with abundant seeds of love, equality, and Godliness. Continue to watch it grow while you persist in helping our children cultivate and plant their seeds of love, hope, and spiritual change that will belong to the rights of humanity forever.
Blessings,
Naomi
I often think about how proud my father was to be an American citizen. He came from a humble and poor background but never took advantage of the freedoms and privileges he had here. My grandmother raised four children alone and taught them the importance of hard work, respect and the love of God. From their beginnings in Calabria, Italy to their temporary home in Utica, NY to their permanent home in Dolgeville, NY they lived a simple but productive life. My father went to night school to learn the English language and worked full time. He exercised his right to vote with pride. He taught us to love God, respect the American flag and be the best person we could be. Our trees were planted early on in life and I have hopefully planted the same seeds in my children’s lives. Have a good and godly day everyone 🙏
