I’m Finally Me
I was obsessed with the perfect picture of life.
So I searched my world in and out.
And for a moment I said,
Do you know if this is it? Is this what it’s all about?
I looked at life through foggy lenses
My camera head was worn with too much pride
I thought it held every moment that I kept inside my head
And my heart
Now, when I look back at those pictures
I can’t remember how I felt
The way the warm air felt
I can’t remember what days were good, and what were bad
If only I had a snapshot of those moments
That no one else had
That no one else wanted
So, I threw my camera away
Now, I use my eyes instead
To take pictures for my scrapbook inside my head
Where no one ever goes
I always thought the pictures would last a lifetime
But then I thought
Why save them
Memories last much longer
Remember this, my friends.
“It all begins and ends with who you are.”
Blessings,

Naomi
I absolutely agree that mental images and memories are as vivid a picture as anyone can get! As we travel the journey of life we learn, we make mistakes and we gain knowledge from our experiences. We can’t change who we are. We can only strive for making things better and with God’s grace we can conquer the challenges. It’s impossible to be anyone but ourselves ❣️💟 Have a blessed day 🙏
